Trina and Tongwei Each Establish New Subsidiary with RMB 10 Million Registered Capital

As learned from EnergyTrend, Trina Solar and Tongwei Co., Ltd., two leading enterprises in the photovoltaic (PV) industry, have recently established new companies respectively to further boost R&D and manufacturing of PV technologies and expand their layout in the new energy business.

RMB 10 Million Registered Capital: Trina Sets Up PV Technology Company

On January 5th, Huai'an Qunchuang Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. was founded, with Chen Yifeng as its legal representative and a registered capital of RMB 10 million.

According to Qichacha, the company is located in Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, and is wholly owned by Jiangsu Qunchuang Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Trina Solar.

The new company focuses on the manufacturing and sales of PV equipment and components, and provides relevant technical services. Its specific business scope includes industrial design services, R&D of new materials, promotion services of new material technologies, R&D of mechanical equipment, and sales of PV equipment and components, among others.

Tongwei Partners with Central Enterprise to Establish New Energy Company

In the meantime, Tongwei Co., Ltd. has also joined hands with a central enterprise to expand its new energy territory. On December 26th, 2025, CGN New Energy (Changning) Co., Ltd. was established, with Pu Zhiyong as its legal representative and a registered capital of RMB 10 million.

Qichacha data shows that the new company is jointly held by CGN Yunnan New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN), and Sichuan Yongxiang Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Tongwei Co., Ltd. Among them, CGN Yunnan New Energy Co., Ltd., a state-owned enterprise, holds a 99% stake, while Sichuan Yongxiang Co., Ltd. holds 1%.

Its business scope covers power generation, power transmission and power supply (distribution) businesses, and also involves multiple new energy segments such as wind power generation technical services, solar power generation technical services, and energy storage technical services.
