Beiwa Technology's Energy Storage System Manufacturing Project Signed

On May 26, according to "Wuzhong Release," the signing ceremony for Beiwa Technology's energy storage system intelligent manufacturing headquarters project was held by Tantai Lake in Wuzhong, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

The newly signed Beiwa Technology energy storage system intelligent manufacturing headquarters project, with a planned total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, will focus on the research and development, production, and system integration of core components such as energy storage inverters and energy storage batteries. It aims to build a headquarters base that integrates intelligent manufacturing and technological innovation.

Tinci Materials Plans to Build a Lithium Iron Phosphate Project

On May 26, Tinci Materials announced that the company plans to build a high-compaction lithium iron phosphate project with an annual capacity of 160,000 tons in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, through Taizhou Tinci. The estimated total investment will not exceed 2.1 billion yuan.

To accelerate the project's implementation as quickly as possible, the company has agreed to authorize the management team to carry out specific preliminary preparations for the annual 160,000-ton high-compaction lithium iron phosphate project.

According to the announcement, the implementing entity of the project is Tinci Materials (Taizhou) Co., Ltd., located in the Taizhou Bay Circular Economy Industrial Agglomeration Area in Zhejiang Province. In terms of process technology, it plans to adopt the rotary kiln sintering process for production and construction. Meanwhile, Tinci Materials pointed out that its high-compaction lithium iron phosphate products have already completed pilot-scale mass production.

10 Billion Yuan Solid-State Battery Project Lands in Shanghai

On May 26, Guoxiang Century New Energy Group and the People's Government of Anting Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony, marking the official landing of the solid-state battery industry complex project in Anting Town.

It is reported that the project has a planned total investment of approximately 10 billion yuan, with a first-phase investment of 3 billion yuan, to create a benchmark new energy industrial cluster integrating research and development, manufacturing, and energy storage demonstration.

This signing landed three core projects:

A solid-state battery intelligent manufacturing production line, focusing on the large-scale mass production of 500Ah large-capacity pouch solid-state battery cells;

A solid-state battery global R&D center base, primarily tackling key technologies such as solid electrolytes, lithium metal anodes, and dry electrodes;

A 100MW/400MWh solid-state battery independent shared energy storage demonstration power station project.

150,000-Ton Battery Electrolyte Expansion Project Enters Approval Public Notice

On May 26, Shandong Lizhong New Energy Materials Co., Ltd.'s annual 150,000-ton battery electrolyte expansion project entered the approval and public notice phase.

With a total investment of 520 million yuan, this is a factory expansion project that will utilize the reserved open space on-site for construction. It will build a new electrolyte production workshop, multiple Class A warehouses, and comprehensive tank farm facilities including supporting raw material storage tanks.

Once completed, the project will form an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of battery electrolytes, which includes 130,000 tons/year for lithium-ion battery electrolytes and 20,000 tons/year for sodium-ion battery electrolytes.

Progress on the 400,000-Ton Lithium Battery Anode Material Project

On May 25, according to "Minqin Release," Gansu Ruizhi New Materials Co., Ltd.'s annual 400,000-ton lithium battery graphitized anode material project is seizing the construction schedule and systematically advancing subsequent construction work.

According to reports, the project is planned to reach its 400,000-ton output through four phases and five steps, with a total investment of 6.6 billion yuan. The current construction is the first phase, which has an annual capacity of 60,000 tons. Construction of the office building, comprehensive building, and production workshops has already been completed. Civil engineering is expected to be finished in July, and the production equipment will be installed and put into operation in September.

Jiuxu Sodium Power Plans to Build a 50GWh Sodium Battery Project

Recently, Jiuxu Sodium Power (Alxa) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. announced a planned total investment of 20 billion yuan to build the "Inner Mongolia Alxa 50GWh Sodium Battery Full Industry Chain Project" in the incubation park of the Alxa High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

It is understood that this project is primarily driven by Jiuxu Investment, which has united with over 60 ecological enterprises from the NA+ Sodium Battery Industry Alliance to completely bridge the full industry chain of "sodium ore — cathode and anode materials — electrolyte — cell manufacturing — energy storage system integration."

The project will be constructed in three phases and is expected to reach full production by September 2029. Specifically:

Phase I will construct a 5GWh sodium battery energy storage system along with supporting factory buildings, an R&D center, a testing center, and public auxiliary facilities, as well as build a 0.5GW/2GWh independent sodium battery energy storage power station.

Phase II will construct a 15GWh sodium battery energy storage system, 6GWh of sodium battery cells, 20,000 tons/year of NFPP sodium battery cathode materials, 10,000 tons/year of hard carbon, and 10,000 tons/year of electrolyte, along with supporting factory buildings, an R&D center, a testing center, and public auxiliary facilities, as well as build a 0.5GW/2GWh independent energy storage power station.

Phase III will construct a 30GWh sodium battery energy storage system, 14GWh of sodium battery cells, 60,000 tons/year of NFPP sodium battery cathode materials, 30,000 tons/year of hard carbon, and 20,000 tons/year of sodium battery electrolyte, along with supporting factory buildings, an R&D center, a testing center, and public auxiliary facilities.
