Recently, order momentum in the photovoltaic (PV) module market has continued to accelerate, with domestic Chinese manufacturers stepping up efforts to expand both at home and abroad. Overseas, JinkoSolar and Trina Solar secured module orders and project partnerships in Australia and Yemen, respectively. Domestically, Astronergy and Aiko Solar signed module supply agreements and won major project bids, covering diverse application scenarios including distributed rooftops, utility-scale ground-mounted stations, and fishery-solar complementary projects.
JinkoSolar Secures 112 MW Module Order in Australia
JinkoSolar recently announced that it signed a 112 MW order for its Tiger Neo 3.0 modules with a primary Australian distributor.
The modules will be deployed across residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) rooftop PV projects in Australia, expanding the company's footprint across local distributed solar applications.
Trina Solar Signs MoU for 1.5 GW Solar Partnership in Yemen
On July 20, Trina Solar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yemen's Al-Raebi for Trading and Solar Energy Systems Company. The two companies will collaborate on solar projects in Yemen with a total capacity of 1.5 GW, spanning from 2026 to 2029.
Under the agreement, both parties will jointly advance the development of utility-scale ground-mounted stations and C&I solar projects in Yemen, collaborating on module procurement and project execution. Upon implementation, Trina Solar will supply its TOPCon 3.0 series modules for the projects.
Astronergy Signs 118 MW Supply Agreement in Thailand
On July 2, Astronergy signed a 118 MW strategic cooperation agreement with Thai renewable energy developer Thai Solar Energy Public Company Limited (TSE). Astronergy will supply ASTRO N series PV modules for 16 solar projects under TSE.
According to the agreement, the 118 MW project portfolio is expected to enter commercial operation progressively by early 2028. This partnership will further strengthen Astronergy's module supply presence in the Thai solar market.
Aiko Solar Secures 936 MW in Recent PV Module Bids
Aiko Solar has recently won procurement bids for two PV projects, totaling approximately 935.99 MW in winning capacity.
In Fujian Province, Aiko secured Bid Section B for module procurement at China Huadian Corporation's Gulei Development Zone Shaxi 400 MW Fishery-Solar Complementary PV Station, with a capacity of 258 MW. Located in the Zhangzhou Gulei Port Economic Development Zone, the project features an AC capacity of 400 MW, a DC capacity of 516.0064 MWp, an auxiliary 220 kV booster substation, and a 40 MW / 80 MWh energy storage system, representing a total investment of roughly 2.376 billion RMB.
Additionally, Aiko won Bid Section II of Zhejiang Energy Group's Minqin Hongshagang 1.2 GW Solar Project, part of the Tengger Desert Hexi Renewable Energy Base in Wuwei, Gansu Province, securing a capacity of 677.99 MW. Located on the edge of the Tengger Desert, the facility is a mega renewable energy hub integrating solar, wind, and ecological desertification control. It currently represents the largest single Back-Contact (BC) utility-scale PV project in China.
