EnergyTrend has learned that recently, three enterprises—Sungrow, Skyworth Energy Storage, and Goldwind—disclosed the latest progress in their energy storage businesses, including new developments such as the grid connection and commissioning of large-scale energy storage power stations and the signing of European energy storage orders.
Sungrow Supplies 400 MWh Energy Storage Power Station
On August 25, Sungrow announced that a 200 MW / 400 MWh energy storage power station in Hefei was recently connected to the grid and put into operation. The project utilizes Sungrow's PowerTitan 3.0 full-dimensional intelligent solution, equipped with 600+ Ah series stacked cells.
Relying on its world-class intelligent manufacturing base for energy storage with an annual capacity of 100 GWh, Sungrow PowerTitan 3.0 efficiently serves 100+ countries and regions globally through high delivery efficiency, reliable quality, and O&M capabilities.
Currently, relying on its full-link digital and intelligent delivery system, Sungrow achieves digitization and visualization of energy storage systems across all phases—from order, smart manufacturing, logistics, and commissioning to intelligent O&M—with each node operating in efficient parallel. The self-developed Lingxi delivery platform supports one-click self-configuration and self-inspection. Combined with pre-installation and pre-commissioning of the energy storage system, it shortens the traditional 10+ days of manual grid-connection commissioning to 1 hour, enabling the project to achieve a successful one-time grid connection in 17 days.
Skyworth Energy Storage Signs 31 MWh European Energy Storage Orders
On August 26, Skyworth Energy Storage announced that it secured consecutive energy storage orders in Romania and Cyprus, totaling 31 MWh.
Skyworth Energy Storage's residential products have accumulated a strong reputation in the European market. Securing back-to-back energy storage orders in Romania and Cyprus, the company's products cover all-scenario applications including large industrial parks, factories, and commercial complexes. Coupled with system solutions such as microgrids and integrated PV-storage-charging systems, these offerings match the diverse demands of European customers.
In the Romanian market, procurement letters for 4 sets of 5 MWh-class large-capacity containerized energy storage systems have been confirmed, totaling 20 MWh. In addition, 16 units of distributed commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage equipment were simultaneously confirmed, totaling 8 MWh.
In the Cyprus energy storage market, a local customer purchased 16 units of 232 kWh C&I energy storage cabinets, totaling approximately 3.7 MWh, and the project has entered the delivery phase.
Goldwind Signs Contract for Romanian Energy Storage Project
On August 26, Goldwind announced that it recently signed a cooperation agreement with Dunarea Power to jointly advance the construction of the Topalu Energy Storage Project in Romania.
The Topalu project is Romania's first integrated wind-plus-storage project. It will adopt a centralized AC-coupled architecture for its overall design, deeply integrating wind power generation with battery energy storage systems. The project utilizes a turnkey construction model, equipped with 7 Goldwind GWH170-7.2MW wind turbines and a 10.8 MW / 23.4 MWh Goldwind battery energy storage system.
The delivery scope of the energy storage system covers 28 units of energy storage equipment, a medium-voltage transformer system, and a plant-wide Energy Management System (EMS). The project is expected to be connected to the grid and commissioned within the year.
