Shuangliang Plans to Invest RMB 5 Billion in a 20GW PV Module Production Site in Baotou

Shuangliang Eco-Energy Systems Co. Ltd. announced on April 6 that it will ink a cooperative framework agreement with the Management Committee of Baotou National Rare Earth Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone to set up a production plant for high-efficiency PV modules. The annual total production capacity of the plant is set at 20GW, and the total investment in the plant is estimated at RMB 5 billion. China’s Production of PV Wafers and Cells Came to 40GW and 39.5GW Respectively for January-February Period

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) reported recently that the country’s PV industry performed consistently well during the January-February period of this year with manufacturers on the whole posting steady growth. Citing announcements and data from companies and industry associations, MIIT said that the domestic production volume of c-Si cells in the two-month period surpassed 39GW. Taiwan Cement announced today that the company had achieved a revenue of NT$22.945 billion for the first quarter this year under a YoY increase of 4.12%, and the board of directors decided to issue NT$1 of cash divided and NT$1 of stock dividend, with a dividend payout ratio of 61%.
