Blue Elephant Energy (BEE) announced on April 15 that its subsidiary BEE Development has signed a framework agreement with Umweltergerechte Kraftanlagen (UKA) to develop a PV portfolio with a generation capacity of 500MWp. BEE is a company that acquires and operates PV and wind projects, while UKA specializes in building turnkey PV projects. Both companies are based in Germany. Reuters and other foreign news agencies reported that the government of Saudi Arabia has just entered PPAs with seven new solar projects and inaugurated the Sakaka PV Power Plant. Local news outlets also reported that the construction of the Dumat al-Jandal wind farm, which is the first utility-scale wind project in Saudi Arabia, is halfway to completion. Nexamp Obtains a US$440 Million Credit Facility to Develop PV and Energy Storage Assets

Nexamp announced on March 8 that it had signed a debt financing agreement for a portfolio of PV generation and energy storage assets. With this agreement, the company will receive US$440 million in funding. As for the portfolio, the PV generation assets are estimated to have a total generation capacity of 380MW, while the energy storage assets are estimated to have a total storage capacity of 120MWh. Based in the US, Nexamp is a developer and operator of PV projects.
