Ford Invites Thai Customers to Feel the Difference with ‘Love Fiesta…Snap It Now!’

Ford Thailand announced the official kick-off of an exciting and unprecedented pre-launch campaign for the new Ford Fiesta -- ‘Love Fiesta…Snap It Now!’ -- designed to engage Thai consumers across the country.
 
"Love Fiesta…Snap It Now!" is a unique opportunity for Thais to ‘Feel the difference’ of Fiesta by becoming a part of the Thai market launch of the highly-anticipated Ford Fiesta in September.

The new Ford Fiesta is the star attraction of the "Love Fiesta…Snap It Now!" campaign, though at the kick-off event in Bangkok at Funky Villa in Thonglor's Arena 10, there was plenty of added excitement and celebrity faces.
 
Run in collaboration with Virgin Hitz Radio (95.5FM), the campaign invites all members of the public to 'snap' a unique photo with the new Fiesta, write a short caption about their 'snap' and why they love the new model, and upload it to www.facebook.com/FordFiestaThailand. People can also enter the campaign by using existing Fiesta photos found on the Internet.

Ford Fiesta Facebook members can vote on their favorite 'snaps' – one vote per photo per day – and the 'snap' with the most votes when the campaign concludes on September 15 will be awarded a brand new Ford Fiesta. Ford will also award weekly hideaway trip getaways – all expenses paid mountain and beach excursions that include the use of a new Fiesta – presented to the most popular photos by vote during each week.
 
To enable as many people as possible to take part in the "Love Fiesta" campaign, the new Fiesta will make more than 50 appearances nationwide, from today until September 15. The Fiesta roadshow will be led by a team of Thai celebrities, including Ploy Horwang, John Winyu and Kan Kantathavorn.
 
"Love Fiesta…Snap It Now!" is a simple, fun campaign that will help raise awareness and build excitement of the Fiesta ahead of its official public launch," said Ford Thailand senior vice president, Saroj Kiatfuangfoo.
 
"Fiesta will appeal to young, stylish, and digitally connected individuals who love to share their experiences online, and this pre-launch programme is designed to leverage social networks to tap into the creativity and photographic talent of Thais, using our award-winning Fiesta as the centerpiece," added Saroj.
 
"We're excited to be asking all Thais to 'Love Fiesta…Snap It Now!" exclaimed Saroj.
 
Ploy, John and Kan will drive the new Fiesta to ten key provinces and invite consumers to feel the Fiesta difference. In addition to the Bangkok events, the roadshow venues and dates will include:
August 21 – at venues in Chiang Mai, Udonthani, Hat Yai

August 28 – at venues in Nakornsawan, Khon Khaen and Phuket

September 4 – at venues in Rayong, Chonburi, Nakornratchasrima and Surathani

"This campaign will let consumers make a real connection with Fiesta. They will be able to experience the exterior and interior at the more than 50 Fiesta pop-up events nationwide from July until mid September,” said Saroj. "With more than four million Thai people now using Facebook, digital channels are a crucial way for us to successfully engage this group, and what could be better than offering the chance for them to win their very own Fiesta."

Since its launch last year, nearly one million Ford Fiestas have been sold globally. Earlier this week, Ford celebrated the official start of production at AutoAlliance Thailand, where Fiesta is being built for the Thai and ASEAN markets.
 
The Ford Fiesta will be priced between Bt.529,000-699,000 in Thailand, and will be available in Ford dealerships nationwide from September.
