According to the New Energy Vehicles Development Seminar, the low-end electric vehicles will be the opportunity for Chinese market.
Huang Yonghe, the Chief Specialist of China Automotive Technology and Research Center, believes that the Chinese New Energy Vehicles will realize preliminary industrialization in 2015, and the total sales volume of BEV and HEV will reach 500,000. The production of key components and whole vehicles will achieve the international standards, and the sales volume will increase to 5 million. Besides, the inter-city charging station network in the main promotion regions will be operated.
Many EV specialists in Chinaand Japan also offer advice, and the most representative suggestion is that there are two trends in the international vehicle industry: one is the ultra-low-cost car, and the other is EV. If China can combine the ultra-low-cost car and EV, the Chinese market will determine the development direction and process of the international new energy vehicle industry.
Japanhas occupied most of the EV market, and many Chinese engineers are working in the Japanese vehicle cooperation and have earned a lot of experience. The Seminar also stress that the intellectual property rights, key core technology are the important factors for the EV development in China.
