GCL-Poly has Built 300MW Wafer Plant in Quanzhou

GCL-Poly (Suzhou) New Energy, a subsidiary of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings, and Goldpoly New Energy Holdings Limited, jointly announced to build 300MW wafer plant in Quanzhou for Goldpoly’s requirements.

Mr. Su Hua, the Executive Director and CEO of GCL-Poly, indicates that GCL-Poly is proud to establish long-term strategic relationship with Goldpoly. This joint venture is not only the further development of new strategic cooperation between GCL-Poly and its downstream customers, but also the strategic movement for GCL-Poly to the southeastern region of Mainland China. Furthermore, it helps GCL-Poly to strategically expand the markets in Taiwan and the emerging countries of the South-East Asia.

It shows that the solar cell manufacturer, whose existed cell plant in Quanzhou of Fujian Province has the annual production capacity of 200MW, is entering into new stage of expansion. At present, the company has planned to increase the total capacity to 1300 MW by 2013.
