In the recently finished 1Q12, the Taiwan based NexPower Technology Corporation shipped out a total of 32MW of its thin film modules. The company CEO, Arthur Chou, states “This is a new record high for any quarterly shipments for NexPower.” In the past few years, NexPower has successfully managed to start every year with more orders than the previous year. Comparing to 1Q11 NexPower achieved a 68% shipment boost from 19MW to 32MW.
Moreover, NexPower also set a new monthly record with an 18MW shipment in March, while 10MW was previously reported to be used for projects in the USA. Sales & Marketing Vice President, Charles Chen, states “USA and Japan, the new rapidly rising markets for NexPower, together accounted for 46% of the total 1Q12 shipments, followed by Europe (27%), India (19%), and China (6%).”
Worth noting, in 1Q12 NexPower has started shipment of the industry leading large powered 160W thin film panels. According to the schedule, this summer NexPower is going to exhibit in the upcoming Intersolar Europe in June, and Intersolar North America in July. At the time NexPower will showcase its latest technology.
