SolarEdge Addresses the Commercial Market with New Inverters and Extended Voltage Optimizers

published: 2012-05-08 14:43

SolarEdge Technologies, a global provider of end-to-end solar power optimization systems and monitoring solutions, announced the introduction of new 15kW, 16kW and 17kW three-phase solar invertersand a new extended voltage power optimizerthat can support modules with voltage up to 125Vdc.

The 15kW, 16kW and 17kW inverters expand SolarEdge’s portfolio of three phase solar invertersand enhance the company’s offerings for large residential and commercial markets. The inverters are an optimal solution for commercial systems and provide the known benefits of SolarEdge’s inverters including: 98% maximum efficiency, small size, light weight, easy installation, and superior safety. The flexible design enabled by the SolarEdge inverters which also allows for installation of longer strings and a reduction in BoS costs, is now highlighted with this increased range of inverter.

The SolarEdge new power optimizer, the OP400-EV, extends the range of modules supported by SolarEdge power optimizers with higher voltage up to 125Vdc and power rating up to 400W. The SolarEdge power optimizers track the Maximum Power Point of each module, eliminating power losses due to module mismatch. Power optimizers monitor the performance of each module reducing maintenance costs and are equipped with the unique SafeDC™ feature which automatically shuts down modules' voltage whenever inverter or grid power is shut down.

“The increased gains and faster ROI that we continue to provide to our customers has led to a strong demand from the commercial PV market for our products and solutions.” said Lior Handelsman, Vice President Product Strategy and Business Development. “We are proud to provide our customers around the world with the industry’s most innovative solutions.”
