According to incomplete statistics from EnergyTrend, China’s domestic PV module tender volume reached 24.9 GW in September, with awarded volume (including shortlisted candidates) at 12.43 GW. The average bidding price of N-type modules stood at RMB 0.729/W, edging up from the previous month.

September PV Module Tender Volume: 24.9 GW

Per TrendForce’s China PV Industry Tendering Data report, domestic PV module tender scale hit 24.9 GW in September 2026. Central and state-owned enterprise bulk/frame procurement projects drove explosive growth in tender volume for the month.

Among these, China Huadian launched a 5 GW module frame procurement, while China Energy Engineering Corporation released a 15 GW module bulk procurement. Together, the two projects accounted for 80% of September’s total tender volume.

Tenders explicitly designated for N-type modules reached 24.75 GW in September, representing 99.41% of the total tender volume. Tenders specified for TOPCon modules totalled 15.23 GW (61.54% share); those for BC modules stood at 3.3 GW (13.33% share); and HJT module tenders were 1 GW (4.04% share).

September PV Module Awarded Volume: 12.43 GW

Based on incomplete statistics from EnergyTrend, the volume of modules with published award results and winning candidates totalled 12.43 GW in September 2026. This comprises 6.61 GW of formally awarded capacity and 5.81 GW of capacity for first-ranked winning candidates.

By awarded volume per manufacturer, Hongyuan Green Energy led the ranking with 1.04 GW. HuanSheng PV, Ronma Solar and GPSOLAR each secured awarded volumes exceeding 0.3 GW.

Bidding Prices of N-type Modules Edge Up

In September 2026, PV module bidding prices ranged from RMB 0.65/W to RMB 0.84/W, with an average of RMB 0.736/W.

The lowest bid came from the 2026–2027 PV Module Bulk Procurement Project of China Tower Zhejiang Branch, submitted by Oulu Electric and Jiangdong Solar. The highest bid was offered by Oulu Electric for the Second Tender of Base Station PV Module Procurement Project (Qiannan Prefecture) 2026 of China Tower Energy Guizhou Branch.

By technology route, bidding prices for explicitly N-type modules ranged from RMB 0.65/W to RMB 0.799/W, with an average price of RMB 0.729/W, a mild increase from RMB 0.722/W in the prior month.

Breakdown by sub-technology routes:

  • TOPCon modules: Bidding prices ranged from RMB 0.692/W to RMB 0.772/W, averaging RMB 0.724/W. The lowest bid was submitted by Hongyuan Green Energy for Lot 2 of the 800 MW PV 640.9728 MWp N-type TOPCon monocrystalline bifacial double-glass module procurement at the Hexi New Energy Base in Tengger Desert, Gansu. The highest bid was from Jetion Solar for the PV module procurement of the 150 MWp “Taihang Photonics” Phase III distributed rooftop PV project (Henan Region) at Qinbei Power Plant of Huaneng Henan Branch.
  • BC modules: Bidding prices ranged from RMB 0.775/W to RMB 0.782/W, averaging RMB 0.778/W. Both the lowest and highest bids originated from Lot 2 of the 2026–2027 PV Module Bulk Procurement of China South-to-North Water Diversion Corporation, submitted by Aiko and LONGi respectively.
