JCM Capital announced that they have signed an agreement with Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada Inc., an affiliate of Panasonic Corporation of North America, tocombine JCM’s financial network expertise with Panasonic’s bankable solar products and services.

The arrangement will combine JCM’s expertise and initial $10,000,000 development capital fund with Panasonic’s construction financing and expertise. By aligning, JCM and Panasonic provide the Ontario solar market with a scalable END-TO-END FINANCIAL AND SERVICE solution, from application stage to commercial operation date (COD) for commercial scale photovoltaic (PV) projects and/or their associated portfolios.

The agreement is intended to facilitate the deployment of over 120 MW of commercial rooftop and ground-mount PV projects across the Province over a two-year period, with an initial focus on 5 MW of JCM’sFIT contract equipped commercial rooftop projects. Characterized by a high degree of efficiency and quality, Panasonic’s PV modules, which are manufactured in Ontario, will be featured throughout all of the designated projects.

JCM Capital’s CEO, Christian Wray, comments, “We are pleased to align ourselves with a world-renowned corporation such as Panasonic and are confident that their best-in-class PV products and services will provide these associated projects with the level of quality and expertise necessary to minimize associated short- and long-term development risks.”Mr. Wray continues, “Perhaps most notable, this partnership commemorates a significant new investment that will now begin to stream into the Province while supporting hundreds of new, local, and long-term jobs… a clear indication of the type of economic support the Ontario Power Authority’s Feed-in-Tariff program was contrived to promote.”

“JCM has a strong presence in the solar community, and an ability to attract and develop projects,” said Walter Buzzelli, Managing Director, Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada Inc. He added, “With our new domestically produced solar panels, Panasonic can offer quality modules in conjunction with our project expertise to better serve our partners.”
