Power-One, Inc.(Nasdaq:PWER), a leading provider of renewable energy and energy-efficient power conversion and power management solutions, has announced the availability of the new residential class UNO-2.0-I and UNO-2.5-I string inverters in the US.

The new AURORA UNO inverters sport a brand new look and lightweight design with top CEC efficiency, reliability and industry leading MPPT performance. The new front panel graphical display on the UNO provides a wide assortment of performance metrics, such as the production data, grid connection status and PV string data.

The AURORA UNO inverters are available in two models, the 2kW UNO-2.0-I and the 2.5kW UNO-2.5-I. The UNO inverters are HF-isolated and available with an integrated DC disconnect switch to save installation time and cost. With 96 percent CEC efficiency and a NEMA4X rated enclosure, the UNO inverters are packed with the most advanced technology in Power-One's repertoire.

This inverter is the most light-weight product in its class and enables easy installation and handling. The T-mounting bracket provides added flexibility with options of mounting the inverter on a wall or a pole. Installation in jurisdictions which have unique grid management settings is simplified with the easy configuration settings available on the front panel graphical display.

"The new UNO inverters, like Power-One's previous products, incorporate our industry leading MPPT algorithm that is both fast and accurate. The wide input voltage range means the UNO starts producing power earlier in the day, and continues to do so for a longer duration, thus maximizing energy harvest," said Paolo Casini, vice president of product marketing at Power-One.

The innovative new enclosure design on the UNO enables fan-less thermal management by natural convection through an integrated rear heat sink. The front cover also employs a patented three-layer construction that shields the inverter from direct sunlight and also reduces the internal air temperature for cooler, more reliable operation.
