Messe Frankfurt announces the launch of NextGen Auto International Summit China

Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd has announced the launch of the NextGen Auto International Summit China, an event which focuses on innovative automotive technologies for a sustainable future.

The three-day summit will take place 11 – 13 December 2012 at the Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, China, and will be held concurrently with Automechanika Shanghai, one of the world’s leading automotive trade fair brands organised by Messe Frankfurt and China National Automotive Industry International Corp.

Commenting on the upcoming events, Mr. Jason Cao, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt in China said: “Developed as a thought leadership conference, the NextGen Auto International Summit China will focus on innovating strategies, technologies, services and applications that promise to help the automotive industry’s transition to a more sustainable, profitable future for OEMs, suppliers and service providers across the industry value chain. We are expecting to bring together more than 500 senior industry executive decision makers from the Asian region, as well as local representatives from key government ministries, municipalities and influential research institutes.”

Summit features 50+ sessions dedicated to industry innovation and future development

The NextGen Auto International Summit China will offer nine tracks with over 55 sessions featuring more than 60 international and domestic industry leaders, including ten discussion panels/forums. The key topic areas and themes to be explored include:

  • New business opportunities from greener internal combustion engine vehicles, alternative low carbon fuels, hybrid passenger and commercial vehicle solutions on the path to a new energy vehicle future
  • New revenue streams from advanced electronics, connected vehicle and telematic-based mobility services, cloud applications and future charging models
  • Cost reductions and lifecycle benefits from new advanced applications and manufacturing processes

Mr. Cao added: “This will be of benefit to senior industry executives and government delegates in helping them to shape future business and market strategies. In addition, technology professionals, through a number of in-depth tracks, will have the opportunity to learn about innovative technologies, solutions and applications crucial to the development of China’s automotive industry.”
