Array Technologies Commissions Four Solar Tracking Sites in California

The large solar tracking solutions company, Array Technologies, Inc. (ATI), and nationally recognized construction firm Swinerton Renewable Energy have announced the completion of four solar projects located deep in the heart of the California desert.

The four utility-scale solar sites are now online and providing electricity to the grid through a power purchase agreement (PPA). All four projects are located in Kern County, California, a notoriously high-wind area with regular gusts upwards of 50 miles per hour. ATI’s engineering department worked closely with Swinerton to design and customize the DuraTrack HZ single-axis tracking systems to withstand winds of more than 100 miles per hour, independent of wind-stow position.

“We have had much success working with Array Technologies on many great projects,” said George Hershman, Vice President and Division Manager of Swinerton Renewable Energy. “We look forward to providing more power and more jobs together in the future.”

“We always enjoy working with Swinerton and hope to continue the partnership well into the future,” said ATI Founder and CEO, Ron Corio. “Their professionalism and dedication to efficiently completing high-quality solar projects always shines through on projects of this magnitude.”
