Amtech Systems, a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of solar cells, semiconductors, and sapphire and silicon wafers, has received approximately $12 million in orders, including $10 million in orders for its solar diffusion, PECVD and ion implant systems, in January. The solar orders come from cell and module manufacturers in China and Japan and are expected to ship within the next three to nine months. For the first four months of fiscal 2015 orders total $42 million, including $31 million in solar orders.

Our PECVD system is an important strategic product we developed during the solar down cycle to aggressively support the solar growth opportunity during the next recovery cycle and provides us the opportunity to double the size of our served available market."
