SUBWAY Donates Solar-powered Water System in Kenya

published: 2016-07-29 17:47

SUBWAY can do more than making sandwiches, and the restaurant proves it by launching a campaign to help alleviate the global shortage of clean drinking water.

By the “Fresh Water 4 All” campaign, SUBWAY will donate US$30 cents for every bottle of Dasani® water sold before August 31, 2016. US$30 cents is enough to supply clean drinking water to one person for one month.

Furthermore, SUBWAY will donate a total of US$125,000 to build a solar-powered water system providing clean water for 1,600-plus people in Kenya.

The sandwich maker is partnering with World Vision, the largest nongovernmental provider of clean water which focuses on providing clean water and sanitation to the hardest-to-reach places around the world.
