The World Bank's Regional Emergency Solar Intervention Project is financing a tender for solar energy and energy storage projects in Togo. The World Bank's Regional Emergency Solar Intervention Project is financing a tender for solar energy and energy storage projects in Togo. The bidding deadline is June 4th. The tender is for the design, supply, and installation of photovoltaic (PV) plants and storage systems. Interested bidders should contact the RESPITE Regional Project Coordination Unit (RCU) to request the bidding documents, which are priced at US $200.

The online guidance suggests that the project should take between 12 and 16 months to implement. Bids must include technical and financial components and be submitted to the RCU office in Liberia by June 4, 2024.

According to IRENA, Togo had 57 MW of installed solar capacity at the end of last year.

The Regional Emergency Solar Intervention Project (RESIP) covers Liberia, Sierra Leone, Chad and Togo, with a total project cost of US$311 million, as stated on the World Bank website. The project aims to increase grid-connected renewable energy capacity in participating countries and strengthen regional integration. It is scheduled to run until December 2027.
