Indian solar listed company Alpex Solar recently announced that it will build a new 1.2GW solar module factory in Mathura. After production, the total capacity will reach 3.6GW. The project is expected to start production in the 2026-2027 fiscal year, with an investment of 1.1 billion rupees (approximately 94 million yuan).

The funds will be solved through a combination of internal accumulation and credit financing. To support the expansion, the company also plans to raise 2.6116 billion rupees (approximately 224 million yuan) through equity placement.

In terms of performance, the company performed brilliantly in the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year. Net profit surged nearly 40 times compared with the same period last year, revenue soared 396% year-on-year, and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) skyrocketed 1403%. Currently, it has orders worth 15.5503 billion rupees (approximately 1.33 billion yuan) for the 2026 fiscal year.

Alpex Solar currently owns 6 factories. For Chinese enterprises, Alpex Solar's capacity expansion brings potential cooperation space. India's photovoltaic manufacturing industry expansion has a strong demand for cost-effective production equipment, auxiliary materials and technical services. China's technological and cost advantages in the entire photovoltaic industry chain are expected to make it a potential partner.
