1.39 GWh: Two More Chinese Firms Secure Overseas Energy Storage Contracts

Recently, two more Chinese energy storage companies have secured overseas orders totaling 1.39 GWh, covering Europe, Australia, North America, and other regions.

PotisEdge Secures 600 MWh Energy Storage Order in Finland

On September 10th, at the RE+2025 exhibition, PotisEdge launched a new product, the utility - scale energy storage system PotisBank - L6.25 - AC, and on - site announced a cooperation on an energy storage project with a total capacity of 600 MWh with Aittub Oy, a well - known Finnish energy investment enterprise.
The project, to be funded and developed by Aittub Oy, will cover multiple sub-sites and adopt PotisEdge’s PotisBank series solutions. This collaboration also marks the global debut application of the PotisBank-L6.25-AC—shortly after the product’s launch, it secured an order, demonstrating remarkable market competitiveness.

According to PotisEdge, this project sets a new record in Finland’s energy storage market for the largest procurement scale from a single supplier. Going forward, the two parties will conduct in-depth collaboration across multiple dimensions, including technology R&D, project management, and localized services, to jointly drive the efficient and stable implementation of the project.

Hithium Secures 790 MWh Overseas Orders in Succession

Also at the RE+ 2025 exhibition, Hithium signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Microgrid Networks LLC (MGN), a well-known energy enterprise in New York. Under the agreement, the two parties will deploy 10 energy storage projects in New York City, with a total scale of 55 MW/290 MWh.

This marks Hithium’s first batch of energy storage projects in New York City. According to the cooperation agreement, Hithium will provide a complete AC-side solution, the core of which includes the independently developed ∞Block 5MWh energy storage system.

Separately, foreign media reported that Hithium has recently signed a cooperation agreement with Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, a global renewable energy enterprise. Under the agreement, Hithium will supply energy storage batteries for Fotowatio’s 250 MW/500 MWh energy storage project named "Gnarwarre" in the state of Victoria, Australia.

It is understood that Gnarwarre is located approximately 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) west of Geelong. The project will be equipped with 112 units of a 5 MWh battery model under Hithium’s product portfolio. SMA Solar Technology AG from Germany will provide the PCS (Power Conditioning System), while Samsung C&T Corporation from South Korea will serve as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor. According to the agreement, Hithium will also provide commissioning services and a long-term service agreement for the facility.
