Rongjie Energy’s 50 MWh Large-Scale Energy Storage Project in the Netherlands Begins Operation

published: 2025-09-29 14:09

Rongjie Energy’s large-scale energy storage project in the Netherlands is advancing steadily, with a total capacity of 50 MWh already entering phased commissioning. As a key milestone in the project, the company has successfully delivered multiple customized energy storage container systems to local integrators, including storage units with a power rating of 5 MW.This delivery and commissioning mark a further deepening of Rongjie Energy’s business footprint in the European market and lay a solid foundation for future,larger-scale collaborations. The customer has plans to continue working with Rongjie Energy on additional energy storage projects in the Netherlands, jointly expanding into the European energy market.

As a pioneer in Europe’s energy transition, the Netherlands is actively promoting large-scale adoption of renewable energy.Against this backdrop, the deployment of Rongjie Energy’s storage systems helps significantly reduce energy costs and improve energy utilization efficiency. The project not only aligns with Europe’s overall green transition goals but also injects flexible grid balancing capabilities, supporting the large-scale integration of renewable energy and serving as a key pathway for advancing the clean energy transition.

For this project,Rongjie Energy deployed multiple sets of its self-developed 5 MWh storage systems. As the company’s flagship product line, these systems have fully passed mandatory EU CE-EMC and CE-LVD certifications, and strictly comply with international standards including IEC 62619,UL 1973,and UL 9540A.The systems meet the grid integration requirements of multiple countries and provide a reliable foundation for local energy structure transformation, highlighting Rongjie Energy’s deep technical expertise and ongoing innovation in energy storage.

Ultra-High Safety and Long Lifespan

Exceptional Safety:The system uses high-safety,long-life lithium iron phosphate(LFP)cells, integrated with a three-tier BMS smart protection architecture that monitors battery status in real time, ensuring long-term stable operation. The liquid-cooling channels are embedded within the container frame to decouple flow paths from structural stress, effectively preventing deformation risks.Additionally,a PACK-level directional fire suppression system enables precise explosion control, providing comprehensive operational safety.

Long Lifespan Design:Equipped with proprietary 314 Ah storage-specific cells, combined with an advanced high-efficiency variable-frequency liquid cooling system and low-temperature heating, the system is well-adapted to Europe’s year-round low temperatures. This design slows battery degradation, extends service life by over 20%,and significantly enhances lifecycle economic efficiency.

Modular Design for Cost Efficiency

The system adopts standardized modules and self-developed cells, improving energy density and space utilization while significantly reducing manufacturing and logistics costs. It supports multi-container parallel expansion, allowing users to flexibly increase capacity as needed, avoiding early-stage overinvestment and perfectly supporting phased construction. The full system achieves IP55 protection, ensuring stable operation under harsh environmental conditions.

Building a Win-Win Partnership and Looking Toward the Global Renewable Future

The successful commissioning of the 50 MWh project in the Netherlands marks the beginning of a strategic win-win partnership between Rongjie Energy and its collaborators. The project has enabled the customer to achieve significant energy efficiency gains and cost optimization while strengthening the company’s competitive position in the international energy storage market.Building on this success, both parties plan to further expand cooperation.Looking ahead,Rongjie Energy will continue to leverage innovative technologies as its foundation, working hand-in-hand with global partners to lead the future of green energy.
