JinkoSolar Strikes Again! Perovskite/TOPCon Tandem Cell Efficiency Breaks 34.76%

published: 2025-11-28 16:06

JinkoSolar announced on November 27th that its N-type TOPCon-based perovskite tandem solar cell achieved a conversion efficiency breakthrough of 34.76%.

This marks the 32nd time Jinko has broken a world record for cell efficiency and module power. The data has been officially certified by the National Photovoltaic Industry Measurement and Testing Center (NPVM), signifying a major advance in Jinko's deployment of next-generation perovskite tandem technology.

JinkoSolar attributes this efficiency breakthrough to systematic innovation in perovskite and tandem technology. The company leveraged several material technology innovations, including its self-developed high-efficiency N-type TOPCon bottom cell technology, perovskite lower-interface defect passivation technology, novel perovskite crystallization technology, and a deep optimization strategy for vertical charge transport, to once again achieve a conversion efficiency breakthrough for the perovskite/TOPCon tandem cell.

From an industrial value perspective, this technological achievement not only demonstrates Jinko's deep accumulation in perovskite technology R&D but also provides technical support for its subsequent industrial deployment of high-efficiency tandem cells.

Dr. Hao Jin, Chief Technology Officer of JinkoSolar, stated: "The 34.76% breakthrough is a milestone for Jinko's technology R&D system, proving the feasibility and enormous potential of TOPCon and perovskite tandem technology. We firmly believe that tandem technology will be the next disruptive direction following TOPCon."
