Huawei, Far East & Others Secure New Energy Storage Contracts Worth Over RMB 1.4 Billion

According to EnergyTrend, the global energy storage market continues to heat up, with a wave of new orders landed both domestically and internationally. Huawei secured a microgrid project in Brazil worth over RMB 1.1 billion, Far East Holding won energy storage bids exceeding RMB 300 million in February, and RelyEZ Energy Storage signed a cooperation agreement with Weihai International for an Africa solar-plus-storage project. Leading industry players have delivered strong order performances.

Huawei Lands RMB 1.1 Billion Energy Storage Project in Brazil

On March 2, Reuters reported that Huawei will supply batteries to Aggreko for a renewable energy project in the Amazon region of Brazil, which is expected to become Brazil’s largest energy storage system project.

The project involves a total investment of approximately USD 165.55 million (around RMB 1.14 billion), with an expected construction period of three years.

Huawei will provide energy storage-related products for the project, which will operate in conjunction with solar PV plants installed in the microgrid in the state of West Amazon. Barbara Pizzolato, Head of Huawei Off-Grid Brazil, stated that the Aggreko project is currently the largest microgrid project in South America.

Far East Holding Wins Over RMB 300 Million in Energy Storage Bids in February

On March 2, Far East Holding released its February project bidding announcement.In February 2026, the company and its subsidiaries secured signed contracts worth over RMB 10 million each totaling approximately RMB 887 million. The breakdown of energy storage-related orders is as follows:

Far East Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. signed energy storage system products with a total contract value of RMB 220 million;

Far East Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. signed energy storage system products with a total contract value of RMB 88.2809 million;

Jiangxi Far East Lithium Battery Co., Ltd. signed lithium battery products with a total contract value of RMB 17.2 million.

According to EnergyTrend’s statistics, since 2025, the total value of energy storage orders of RMB 10 million and above disclosed by Far East Smart Energy has exceeded RMB 3.619 billion.

RelyEZ Energy Storage Signs Africa Solar-Plus-Storage Project with Weihai International

On the morning of February 26, Shenzhen RelyEZ Energy Storage held a strategic cooperation meeting with Weihai International and formally signed a consortium implementation agreement for the Burkina Faso solar-plus-storage project, marking the substantial start of their new energy cooperation in Africa.

During the meeting, the two sides held in-depth exchanges on strategic layout in Africa’s new energy market, project cooperation mechanisms and future development directions. They focused on the consortium implementation model, project division of labor and problem-solving mechanisms for the Koudougou solar-plus-storage project in Burkina Faso, clarifying responsibilities, communication mechanisms and risk prevention measures for project implementation.

In addition, the two sides also discussed in depth future market development and cooperation in sub-Saharan African countries, covering cash tendering for new energy projects, investment cooperation under the IPP model, and localized manufacturing of new energy products.
