Recently, several projects across the lithium battery and energy storage supply chains have achieved significant progress, spanning key sectors such as electrolytes, energy storage equipment, and battery separators.

Capchem Breaks Ground on U.S. Electrolyte Production Base
Capchem USA recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its lithium battery electrolyte production base in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio, marking the project's official transition into the construction phase.
This project represents Capchem's first large-scale battery chemical production facility in North America. Targeting the regional EV battery, energy storage, and consumer electronics markets, the facility will significantly enhance the company's localized manufacturing and supply capabilities upon completion.
Gold Electronic Commissions Energy Storage Smart Manufacturing Base
On September 4, the commissioning ceremony for Gold Electronic's smart manufacturing base was held in Yuhang District, Hangzhou, marking a key advancement in the company's energy storage capacity expansion.
Designed to operate as a "lights-out factory," the facility currently automates approximately 70% of its production process. Once operating at full capacity, it will be capable of producing over 10,000 sets of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and supporting equipment daily, further scaling up the company's energy storage manufacturing capacity.
BYD’s 120,000-Ton Electrolyte Project Slated for Trial Production in November
According to "Zhijiang Release," construction of BYD's new energy industrial project at the Yaojiagang Chemical Industrial Park in Zhijiang, Yichang, Hubei Province, is progressing steadily. Currently, steel structure hoisting for main plant buildings No. 1 and No. 2 is underway, the main steel structures for warehouses No. 1 and No. 2 are complete, and backfilling for the tank farm foundation is in progress. The project is scheduled for trial production in November and full commissioning in December.
Invested and built by FinDreams Battery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of BYD Group, the project involves a planned investment of 372 million yuan and covers approximately 80 mu (approx. 13.2 acres). It focuses primarily on constructing production lines with an annual capacity of 120,000 tons of electrolytes and new energy materials.
SEMCORP Commissions 7-Meter Ultra-Wide Coating Line at Chongqing Base
SEMCORP recently completed debugging and successfully commissioned its first 7-meter ultra-wide online coating production line on the first trial at its Chongqing base. With this launch, all 12 production lines at the Chongqing facility now feature full online coating capabilities, transitioning the site into a new stage of end-to-end intelligent online coating mass production.
Operating a 7-meter ultra-wide online coating line requires rigorous standards for equipment adaptation, process matching, and quality control. The successful commissioning of this line will drive further improvements in separator production efficiency and high-end manufacturing capacity at the Chongqing base.
