In Vietnam, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has submitted the revised draft of “National Power Plan for 2021-2030 and Achieving 2045 Targets (PDP8)” to the Office of the Prime Minister. The content of the revised draft is expected to help the Vietnamese government expedite its efforts to fulfill the pledge made at COP26 to phase out coal-fired generation by 2040 and achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
