IEA Asia expert confirmed for POWER-GEN Asia conference & plenary panel discussion

29 August 2013; POWER‐GEN Asia has great pleasure in announcing the participation of Miss Yerim Park, of the International Energy Agency (IEA) as part of the POWER‐GEN Asia conference programme.
 
Miss Park, Programme Officer, South East Asia at the Paris‐based International Energy Agency (IEA) will make a presentation on the issues and challenges of meeting power demand growth in South East Asia with a particular look at the long‐term plans of some countries within the region as part of the session entitled “Regional & Country Spotlights” scheduled on Wednesday 2nd October, from 11:00 to 12:30. The IEA is scheduled to publish a special report into the ASEAN region’s energy position later in the year, as part of this it 2013 World Energy Outlook.
 
In addition to her presentation, Yerim Park will also share her views and expertise as part of the Plenary Panel Discussion entitled “Asian Power ‐ 2020 Vision” that will be take place on Thursday 3rd October, from 14:00 to 15:30. This panel discussion is chaired by Mark Hutchinson, Managing Director, IHS Consulting ‐ Energy & Natural Resources, Singapore, and includes Robert McGregor, Managing Director, Resources & Energy Group, HSBC, Hong Kong; Colin Tam, Executive Chairman, Crystal Vision Energy Ltd, Hong Kong; Michael Thomas, Partner, The Lantau Group (HK) Limited, Hong Kong; and Wouter van Wersch, Senior Vice President East Asia Pacific
& President Alstom Singapore – Alstom International / Senior Vice President Asia Pacific – Alstom Power Sales & Marketing, Alstom Asia Pte Ltd, Singapore as panelists for this session.
 
POWER‐GEN Asia delegates will be able to participate by posing questions to the panel, raising issues of particular concern.
