Ditlev Engel will be among 100 specially invited business leaders taking part in a business summit to be held alongside the G20 summit in South Korea on November 11-12. The summit will be the fifth gathering of the leaders of the world’s 20 leading economies.
Vestas’ CEO will be addressing heads of state and finance ministers at the summit on the subject of “Creating Green Jobs”, one of 12 topics on the agenda during the two-day summit in Seoul.
During the months leading up to the summit, he will act as convener for a working group of company leaders, creating a report voicing the companies’ concerns and recommendations on the issue.
“This is an important chance for companies that are already creating green jobs to enter into a dialogue with the leaders of the world’s key economies, showing the impact of this job creation – and giving recommendations for future development,” says Ditlev Engel.
Joining Vestas on the exclusive list of companies taking part will be leaders in a number of industries such as VISA, Nestlé and HSBC and a number of Vestas’ suppliers and customers, including Areva, GDF Suez and Bosch.
