Innotech Solar Puts Its Energy into Italian Market

published: 2011-05-13 14:44

Innotech Solar is intensifying its Italian activities. The company will benefit from the new Italian legislation which provides for a 10% increase in the feed-in tariff for solar modules produced in the EU.

Within the EU, Innotech Solar has production sites in Sweden and Germany, where products with a particularly favorable price-performance relationship are manufactured using an innovative cell optimization process.

Innotech Solar upgrades non-prime solar cells to full efficiency with a laser-supported process, allowing the company to offer modules with high, stable efficiencies at favorable prices. Experts at the Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin have tested Innotech Solar’s modules based on the IEC 61730 and IEC 61215 standards. Based on these tests the Innotech Solar modules are certified and guaranteed to the same standards as all other modules. Furthermore, ITS modules save resources, as they reintegrate cells that are originally rejected back into the PV value added chain.

Modules equipped with these optimized cells have been successfully employed for over a year in various Italian projects, such as an installation on an oil mill in Venticano, in the region of Campania. The project is fitted with 230 Wp modules from Innotech Solar.

“The new law is good for the Italian market because European manufacturers of high-quality products are now focusing on this market. This will considerably increase the quality of the plants,” explains Dr. Thomas Hillig, Director of Sales and Marketing. Innotech Solar has set itself the goal of generating at least one quarter of its 2011 sales revenues in Italy.
