NT-series modules have always been the main product line for the Taiwan based thin film manufacturer,NexPower. The company has recently just started mass production of its latest NT-series modules with nominal power 155 watts. The series has claimed to reach over a 10% conversion efficiency milestone for silicon thin-film modules. To remark this significant achievement of the company, NexPower has officially given a new name, Xtreme+, to all NT-series modules with nominal power 155 watts above.

Sales and Marketing Vice President of NexPower, Charles Chen, explains the reasons for having selected Xtreme+ as the new series name is simply because of the root nature of the module itself, and also trying to give the sense “extreme panels designed for extreme conditions”.Xtreme+ uses an a-Si/μc-Si tandem technology as the base, which has widely found to have certain product advantages over the traditional market leader, crystalline modules. Xtreme+ has a temperature coefficient as low as -0.28%/C. This allows the Xtreme+ to drop its power output much slower than crystalline when performing under a higher temperature environment. Xtreme+ is also designed to overcome other environmental challenges such as working in cloudy days, in the rain or snow, or even having the ability to face multiple directions for installation purpose, as the panels are more sensitive to diffused light comparing to the traditional crystalline modules. With the launching of Xtreme+ series, for the ease of its customers NexPower this time also offers more product varieties. Xtreme+ can be ordered in the forms with frame or without frame. With frame there are two color options, black and aluminum.

NT-series modules have always been the main product line for NexPower. To remark NT-series modules with nominal power 155 watts above, NexPower has given the series a whole new name, Xtreme+. Recently NexPower just completed a few milestone projects in Europe using NT-series modules. In June, a 4MW rooftop project in Germany was successfully on-grid. This project claims to be the largest so far in the company’s rooftop record for Germany. Also recently NexPower has obtained its very first order from Greece (1.2M). After that NexPower has successfully run a technical seminar with its Greece partner to introduce the NT-series to more of the Greece local market.
