In Sino-Japan Green Exposition,NEC announced to enter into the Chinese Li-ion battery market for electric bikes. As the first user, BRIDGESTONE has applied the NEC power battery in new DLi electric bikes in 2011.
The new-generation power lithium battery, supplied from NEC, has the capacity of 36V14Ah, and weighs 5kg, lighter 3% compared with the common. Besides, the battery also has longer cycle life in high-temperature condition, excellent enduring ability.
With the power battery supply for BRIDGESTONE, NEC plan to seize the lithium battery market for electric bikes. Moreover, BRIDGESTONE also plan to expand the sales in Chinese Market by means of this new electric bikes powered by lithium batteries. NEC plans to invest more than JPY 100 billion in the lithium battery next year.
