Joint stand with LDK Solar
Emerging target markets offer long-term growth prospects
Sunways AG presented its products at a photovoltaics trade fair in the USA for the first time. At the Solar Power International event in Orlando, Florida, the company showcased its current product range together with the national subsidiary of the LDK Solar group. With additional photovoltaic capacity of 18 gigawatts peak expected by the year 2014, North America is one of the most attractive future growth markets.
“Our appearance at the Solar Power International event is a further step towards the increased internationalisation of Sunways,” explains Michael Wilhelm, chairman of the management board of Sunways AG. “Regions such as North America, Australia or Asia will soon replace the classic photovoltaics markets in Europe as drivers of growth. In joining forces with LDK Solar, we are able to position ourselves well in markets of such strategic importance.”
Visitors to the Solar Power International event were able to obtain in-depth information about the German photovoltaic specialist’s multi-award-winning inverter technology. Sunways solar inverters are the perfect addition to the product range of the new group parent company, LDK Solar. What’s more, at Solar Power International, with design solar cells in a variety of colours and degrees of transparency Sunways demonstrated how modern architecture can be aesthetically pleasing and energy-efficient at the same time.
Solar Power International is one of the most important trade fairs in the North American photovoltaic industry with around 1,200 exhibitors from 18 different countries. This year’s event took place between 10 and 13 September.
