China’s inverter leader Sungrow and Indian Independent Power Producer (IPP) Mytrah Energy have entered into an inverter supply agreement for Mytran’s 150MW PV projects in India. The agreement marks Sungrow’s new step engaging in India following its penetration into Asian, U.S. and European market.

“We are delighted and overwhelmed to receive this contract from Mytrah and it leverages the intellectual capital in the design and supply of inverters for large scale energy generation assets,” said Renxian Cao, president of Sungrow. “This contract gives us enormous momentum for solar inverter business in India.”

Under terms of the partnership announced by both companies, Sungrow will assist in aspects including design and manufacturing of the inverters that will be used for projects in Punjab and Telangana.

Sungrow’s inverters have a reputation for high efficiency and easy to install & maintain, and they are key factors for Mytrah to select Sungrow as the partner, commented Girish Gelli, Mytrah Energy’s director.

“In addition to their local technical support and global acceptance were some of the important aspects of why Sungrpw was selected as the inverter supplier,” added Gelli, who also unveiled that Mytrah may expand its partnership with Sungrow.
