PV Export Volume and Overseas Installation Capacity: Year-on-Year Increase in Export Volume

In May, there was a year-on-year increase in the export volume of solar modules and inverters. Specifically, the export value of solar cell modules in May reached 31.553 billion yuan, showing a 13.6% growth compared to the previous year, maintaining an upward trajectory. Notably, exports to the Netherlands amounted to 8.358 billion yuan, representing a 6.80% year-on-year increase. The Indian market is experiencing rapid growth in demand, as evidenced by exports reaching 793 million yuan, a remarkable 139.43% increase year-on-year. Overall, during the period from January to May 2023, the export value of solar cell modules reached 152.193 billion yuan, reflecting a solid 23.66% year-on-year increase.

Regarding inverters, the total export value in May amounted to 7.417 billion yuan, indicating an impressive 94.83% year-on-year growth. The Netherlands remains the primary market for China’s inverter exports, ranking first in absolute export value with 2.307 billion yuan, representing a substantial 114.94% year-on-year increase. The German market also experienced significant growth, with exports in May reaching 658 million yuan, marking a notable 238.00% year-on-year surge. In total, from January to May, the export value of inverters reached 28.272 billion yuan, indicating a substantial 128.66% year-on-year increase. Overall, the overseas photovoltaic market has exceeded expectations, showcasing a favorable situation for exports.
