Recently, the 6GW N-type high-efficiency photovoltaic cell intelligent production line project of Zhongqing Guotou is accelerating its construction. It is expected to be completed and debugged in September this year and officially put into production in December.
It is understood that the project is invested and constructed by Zhongqing Advanced Battery Manufacturing (Qiandongnan) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhongqing Group. It mainly involves the construction of 10 6GW N-type high-efficiency photovoltaic cell intelligent production lines and supporting factory buildings and staff dormitories. The total investment of the project is 2.8 billion yuan.
Public information shows that Zhongqing Group was established on March 8, 2021. It is a national high-tech enterprise integrating photovoltaic product research and development and manufacturing, photovoltaic new materials, new energy power station development and construction, and operation and maintenance, covering the entire photovoltaic industry chain. With the corporate vision of "Guardian of Human Health and Natural Environment", it advocates green energy to help social civilization development.
The group currently has six subsidiaries, whose main businesses include the production of photovoltaic modules and cells, power station development and construction and supporting energy storage, and medical and health. It realizes its group development strategy through structural optimization, industry expansion, project development, industrial extension, energy trade, and market operation.
Currently, two major photovoltaic cell and module manufacturing bases have been put into operation, located in Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province, and Dangyang City, Hubei Province.
The Xinyi City manufacturing base covers an area of 404 mu (approximately 26.9 hectares) with a building area of 300,000 square meters. The total investment of the project is 7.9 billion yuan. The main products include large-size high-efficiency photovoltaic cells, modules, and photovoltaic materials, with a battery production capacity of 6GW, a module production capacity of 8GW, and a photovoltaic material production capacity of 20GW. The Dangyang City manufacturing base has a battery production capacity of 3GW, a module production capacity of 5GW, and a photovoltaic glass production capacity of 10GW. In addition, bases in Xichong, Sichuan, Huaibei, Anhui, and Baotou, Inner Mongolia, have commenced construction.
