On August 11, the People's Government of Qidong City, Jiangsu Province released the acceptance notice for the first phase of the Qidong Hongjun Heterojunction Battery and Module Project.
According to the environmental impact assessment document, this project is constructed by Qidong Hongjun New Energy Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. It is located on the plot east of Xiyuan Road and south of Century Avenue in Qidong Economic Development Zone, covering a total land area of 138,841 square meters. The total investment of the first phase of the project is 1 billion yuan, including approximately 2 million yuan for environmental protection. The main works include the construction of a 32,759-square-meter module workshop and an office building, with supporting public utilities and storage and transportation projects such as water supply and drainage systems and chemical warehouses, and environmental protection projects will be constructed simultaneously. The first phase of the project is designed to produce 2GW of monocrystalline heterojunction 210*105mm (N-type) HJT double-sided double-glass modules annually, and the project has been registered and filed.
It is understood that Qidong Hongjun New Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangdong Hongjun Juneng New Energy Co., Ltd., which was jointly funded and founded by Zhuhai Fuhong Juneng, Primavera Capital Group and Gree Group. The project was signed in July 2024, with a planned total investment of approximately 4 billion yuan. It will be developed and constructed in two phases, including a 4GW battery + 6GW module production base and a perovskite battery pilot base project.
