published: 2025-12-25 14:32

Recently, Tesla secured an 866 MWh energy storage order in Australia, which will adopt its latest MegaBlock system. Meanwhile, Chinese energy storage companies are accelerating their global expansion, with multiple firms—including Risen Energy, Zhiguang Energy Storage, Alpha ESS, and Wincle—successively winning large-scale orders across Europe, South America, and the domestic Chinese market.

01 Tesla Secures 866 MWh Energy Storage Order in Australia

Recently, Tesla successfully won an energy storage system contract from French developer Neoen in Australia. Under the agreement, Tesla will provide a total of 226 MW/866 MWh of energy storage capacity for the Goyder North project in South Australia.

According to the contract, Tesla will supply its MegaBlock energy storage system, marking the first on-site deployment of this innovative architecture globally.

The project is scheduled to commence operations in July 2029. By operating in coordination with wind power generation, the storage system will provide round-the-clock baseload power support for a copper mine owned by BHP.

02 Risen Energy Secures Another 80 MWh Energy Storage Order

Recently, Risen Energy achieved new progress in the commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage segment. The company entered into strategic cooperation agreements with Wuhan Yuehong New Energy Co., Ltd. and Hefei Rongkun New Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd., signing projects with a combined capacity of 80 MWh.

Wuhan Yuehong primarily focuses on residential and C&I energy storage. Under this cooperation, 150 integrated C&I energy storage units were signed, totaling approximately 40 MWh.

Hefei Rongkun’s business covers residential energy storage, C&I energy storage, and charging infrastructure. In this deal, the company signed a 40 MWh C&I energy storage project with Risen Energy.

03 Zhiguang Energy Storage Preliminarily Selected for Jiantou Fengnan Independent Storage Project

On December 22, PowerChina released the shortlist of winning candidates for the energy storage equipment procurement of the Jiantou Fengnan 200 MW/400 MWh independent energy storage project.

According to the announcement, Zhiguang Energy Storage ranked first with a bid price of RMB 212 million, equivalent to approximately RMB 0.53/Wh.

The project is owned by Jiantou (Tangshan) Clean Energy Development Co., Ltd. and involves the construction of a 200 MW/400 MWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) energy storage system, comprising 40 sets of 5 MW/10 MWh storage units.

04 Wincle Signs 120 MWh Energy Storage Project in Latvia

Recently, Wincle reached a major strategic agreement with a Latvian energy developer to jointly develop a cluster of large-scale energy storage projects with a total capacity of 120 MWh.

The company has already completed delivery and grid connection for two batches of projects in Riga, utilizing 3.086 MWh energy storage systems for peak shaving and frequency regulation, thereby improving grid economic efficiency and operational safety. Based on its strong previous performance, both parties will further expand cooperation in Latvia.

05 Alpha ESS Signs 320 MWh Independent Energy Storage Project in the Czech Republic

Recently, Alpha ESS formally signed a cooperation agreement with Czech EPC contractor Eltodo a.s. The two parties will deploy a total of 320 MWh of battery energy storage systems across projects in Chvaletice and Kladno, Czech Republic.

Under the agreement, Alpha ESS will provide energy storage equipment as well as full life-cycle services. Based on the specific requirements of the projects, the company’s technical team has customized dedicated solutions, planning to deploy 46 units of Aster 5000 liquid-cooled energy storage systems for the Chvaletice project and 18 units of the same model for the Kladno project.

06 Jinko Energy Storage Delivers 21 Dolphin 261 kWh Liquid-Cooled Systems

Recently, Jinko Energy Storage announced the successful delivery of 21 Dolphin SunGiga 261 kWh liquid-cooled energy storage systems to a textile enterprise in Wenzhou, with a total capacity of approximately 5.5 MWh.

The project will leverage peak–valley electricity price arbitrage and load smoothing to provide stable and secure power supply, supporting energy efficiency improvements and operational risk control for the enterprise’s high-load, continuous production processes.

07 Jiangsu Kewei New Energy Delivers 46 MWh Energy Storage System to Chile
