EnergyTrend has learned that recently, five energy storage companies—Sungrow, Xinyuan Zhichu, Pengcheng Wuxian, Far East Energy Storage, and Gaote Electronic—have successively signed contracts for and delivered new projects, covering market segments such as standalone energy storage, C&I (user-side) energy storage, and high-voltage cascaded energy storage.
Sungrow Signs Contract for Standalone Energy Storage Project
On August 1, the website of the Qixia Municipal People's Government announced that it recently held a signing ceremony with Sungrow Renewables in Hefei, Anhui, for a cooperation agreement on the Taiyang Renewables Qixia Sikou 200MW/800MWh standalone energy storage project.
Sungrow Renewables is a professional investment and development platform under Sungrow, focusing on project investment, development, and operation in solar, wind, and energy storage sectors. The signed Taiyang Renewables standalone energy storage project involves a planned total investment of approximately 836 million yuan and intends to build a 200MW/800MWh new-type standalone energy storage power station utilizing electrochemical energy storage equipment independently developed and produced by Sungrow.
Xinyuan Zhichu Kazakhstan Energy Storage Project Undergoes Grid-Connection Commissioning
On August 1, the Kokshetau 3.45MW/7.72MWh energy storage project in Kazakhstan, with engineering design, energy storage system integration, and full equipment supply undertaken by Xinyuan Zhichu, successfully completed full-process grid-connection commissioning.
This project is the first grid-connected energy storage system in Kazakhstan's history. Located outside the Arkalyk 220kV Substation in Kazakhstan, it adopts the POWERCABIN 3 series liquid-cooled energy storage system independently developed by Xinyuan Zhichu. Equipped with 314Ah high-capacity cells and 1500V DC integration technology, the system features three-level electrical protection, aerosol fire protection, and electric-fluid separation design to achieve multiple safety protections.
Jiangsu Yanhai Chemical 60MWh Energy Storage Project Grid-Connected
On August 6, Pengcheng Wuxian announced that the Jiangsu Yanhai Chemical 30MW/60MWh C&I energy storage project achieved grid-connected power generation on June 13. The core equipment of the project's energy storage system was provided by Ampace, with the DC-side energy storage container delivered by Pengcheng Wuxian.
In response to the specific working conditions of Yanhai Chemical, Pengcheng Wuxian delivered the Chuwei D+ DC-side energy storage system. The Chuwei D+ utilizes Pengcheng Wuxian's self-developed 314Ah cells and features a standard 20-foot container design, achieving a maximum system round-trip efficiency (RTE) of 96%, a 20% reduction in auxiliary power consumption, and a 4% increase in dischargeable energy.
Far East Energy Storage Supports Grid Connection and Operation of Large-Scale Liquid-Cooled Standalone Energy Storage Station
On August 5, Far East Energy Storage announced that the 50MW/100MWh energy storage power station in the Airport Industrial Park, Huangpi District, Wuhan, Hubei Province, recently commenced grid-connected operation. The project is located in the Airport Industrial Park, Huangpi District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, with a total installed capacity of 50MW/100MWh.
This is Wuhan's first large-scale liquid-cooled grid-side standalone energy storage power station, adopting Far East Energy Storage's liquid-cooled energy storage system solution. The energy storage batteries use 314Ah LFP cells, with the core configuration featuring Far East Energy Storage's PowerSTROM 5000 liquid-cooled energy storage container, establishing a total of 10 energy storage units of 5MW/10MWh.
Gaote Electronic High-Voltage Cascaded Energy Storage Project Grid-Connected
On August 4, Gaote Electronic announced that the Mingyang Weijun 400MW/2400MWh high-voltage cascaded energy storage project recently achieved full-capacity grid connection.
It is reported that the project is located in Tumed Right Banner, Baotou, Inner Mongolia. Gaote Electronic provided the full-stack BMS technology ecosystem solution for the project's energy storage system. The smooth grid-connection and operation of this 400MW/2400MWh project further verifies Gaote Electronic's engineering implementation capabilities in the large-capacity high-voltage cascaded energy storage sector.
