Jana Energy Completes Hundreds of Millions in Series A+ Financing

published: 2026-04-08 14:59

According to EnergyTrend, Shenzhen Jana Energy Technology Co., Ltd. officially announced on April 7 that it has completed hundreds of millions of yuan in Series A+ financing.

It is reported that investors in this round include well-known institutions such as Shenzhen Energy Storage Fund and EVE Energy. The funding will mainly support Jana Energy in the technological iteration of key sodium-ion battery materials, capacity expansion, and global market expansion.

Following this financing round, Jana Energy will focus on three core strategies to accelerate industrialization:

First, increase R&D investment, optimize the performance of core materials, overcome technical bottlenecks such as high energy density and long cycle life, and strengthen technological barriers.

Second, accelerate capacity expansion and new production base planning to enhance large-scale supply capacity and meet surging market orders.

Third, deepen deployment in core application scenarios, expand cooperation with leading customers, accelerate penetration into overseas markets, and increase global market share.

Founded in April 2022 and headquartered in Shenzhen, Jana Energy relies on a research team from Wuhan University and has established a full-chain solution covering cathode, anode, and battery manufacturing processes. At present, Jana Energy holds more than 250 patents, with invention patents accounting for over 70%. Its NFPP technology has been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as internationally advanced.

As a company specializing in sodium-ion batteries, Jana Energy boasts remarkable core advantages. It owns the world’s first 10,000-ton production line for polyanion cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries. The first phase of its Zigong base, with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons, was put into operation in December 2024, with a planned total capacity of 100,000 tons, enabling 10,000-ton scale output of key materials.

Jana Energy is the only polyanion-based enterprise in the industry with cumulative deliveries of thousands of tons and signed orders exceeding 10,000 tons. The company’s self-developed Na₃Fe₂(PO₄)₃/NFPP composite cathode material demonstrates outstanding performance and has been mass-produced for applications in energy storage and light-duty power. It supplies customers including BYD, CATL, and Highpower Energy Storage, with shipments to more than ten regions worldwide.

In the meantime, Jana Energy is actively promoting industrial chain synergy. It has reached strategic cooperation with enterprises such as Sunrise Energy, Veken Technology, and Haodian Technology to jointly build a sodium-ion battery industrial ecosystem.

In terms of regional layout, Jana Energy is steadily expanding its presence. In September 2024, its wholly-owned subsidiary Chengdu Jana Energy was established, and a R&D laboratory was completed in 2025, focusing on process optimization and technological R&D of cathode and anode materials, further improving the full industrial chain layout of sodium-ion batteries.
