As Low as 0.34 RMB/Wh! CALB, EVE Among 6 Firms Shortlisted for CEEC's 7GWh Battery Cell Procurement

On May 7, CEEC Energy Storage Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. announced the shortlisted candidates for its 2026 Battery Cell Framework Procurement Project.

A total of six enterprises were shortlisted: Shuangdeng Group, Rongjie Energy, Desay Battery, CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery), EVE Power, and Pengcheng Infinite. Notably, both EVE Power and CALB successfully qualified for two bidding packages.

Section 1: 2026 Battery Cells (0.5C and 0.25C, Capacity ≥ 314Ah)

The shortlisted candidates are as follows:

Shuangdeng Group Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 1.7245 billion RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.345 RMB/Wh;

Guangzhou Rongjie Energy Technology Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 1.7 billion RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.34 RMB/Wh;

Hunan Desay Battery Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 1.825 billion RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.365 RMB/Wh;

CALB Group Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 1.825 billion RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.365 RMB/Wh;

Hubei EVE Power Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 1.97 billion RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.394 RMB/Wh.

Section 2: 2026 Battery Cells (0.5C and 0.25C, Capacity ≥ 500Ah)

The shortlisted candidates are as follows:

Hubei EVE Power Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 766 million RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.383 RMB/Wh;

CALB Group Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 750 million RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.375 RMB/Wh;

Qinghai Pengcheng Infinite New Energy Co., Ltd.: Bidding price of 720.4 million RMB, equivalent to a unit price of 0.360 RMB/Wh.

It is reported that the bidding information for this project was initially released on February 6, 2026. The procurement consists of two bidding packages with a total capacity of 7GWh:

Package 1: 2026 Battery Cells (0.5C and 0.25C, capacity ≥ 314Ah), with an estimated procurement capacity of 5GWh. These are required to be prismatic aluminum-shell lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with dimensions of approximately 20717472mm.

Package 2: 2026 Battery Cells (0.5C and 0.25C, capacity ≥ 500Ah), with an estimated procurement capacity of 2GWh. These are required to be prismatic aluminum-shell lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with no restrictions on dimensions.
