According to EnergyTrend, Recently, multiple solidstate battery enterprises have kept advancing their capacity expansion and project deployment. On September 29, Chunli New Energy’s 1 GWh smart manufacturing base for solidstate batteries in Hukou, Jiangxi was officially put into operation. On September 30, Enpower’s Central China Regional Headquarters and Production Base project for solidstate batteries landed in Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total investment of approximately RMB 2 billion.
Chunli New Energy’s 1 GWh SolidState Battery Smart Manufacturing Base Commences Operation
According to Hukou County Convergence Media Center, the commissioning ceremony and industry cooperation summit for Chunli New Energy’s Hukou base was held on September 29, marking the official launch of its 1 GWh solidstate battery smart manufacturing base in Hukou, Jiangxi.
In January 2024, Beijing Chunli New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Hukou Jinshawan Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd. jointly established Hukou Chunli New Energy Co., Ltd. The joint venture focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of allsolidstate batteries. Its products can be applied in smallpower equipment, energy storage, marine power, lowaltitude economy, robots and specialpurpose equipment.
In 2025, the environmental impact assessment approval was granted for Hukou Chunli New Energy’s 1 GWh annualoutput solidstate energystorage battery production project. In July 2026, the project entered equipment installation and commissioning, with trial production scheduled for late September, followed by official operation on September 29.
In May this year, Chunli New Energy disclosed that its 500 MWh massproduction line had reached full capacity, while construction of GWhscale production lines was underway. In the same month, it closed a PreA+ round financing of tens of millions of RMB. The proceeds will be mainly allocated to product R&D, market expansion and productionline rollout.
In terms of products and applications, Chunli New Energy stated in February this year that it would move solidstate battery products from smallbatch trial production toward largescale commercial deployment and develop secondgeneration solidstate batteries. Priority application scenarios include robots, drones, passenger vehicles and electric vessels. Meanwhile, the company will scaleup its pilot batteryswapping project for ebicycles in Yizhuang.
Enpower’s RMB 2 Billion SolidState Battery Project Lands in Xiangtan
On September 30, Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone New Development Group Co., Ltd. signed a project cooperation agreement with Beijing Enpower Technology Co., Ltd. Enpower’s Central China Regional Headquarters and Production Base for solidstate batteries was officially settled in Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hunan, with total planned investment of about RMB 2 billion.
Under the agreement, Enpower will build an integrated Central China regional headquarters and production base covering R&D, manufacturing and sales, together with supporting facilities such as intelligent warehouses. Automated production equipment will be introduced to improve its solidstate battery industrialchain layout.
Enpower pursues the sulfidebased solidstate battery technical route. Its product portfolio includes pouch cells for scenarios such as drones, robots and electric motorcycles. Its highenergydensity pouch cells range from 3.5 Ah to 100 Ah, delivering energy density between 270 Wh/kg and 600 Wh/kg.
At present, Enpower has built a 2 GWh semisolidstate cell production base in Chuzhou, Anhui, and a battery Pack smartmanufacturing base in Wuxi, Jiangsu, covering cell manufacturing and system integration.
Since the start of this year, Enpower has steadily pushed forward the industrialization and application of solidstate batteries. In January, it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Semcorp, for joint R&D on separators and solidstate electrolytes.
In April, batteries specially developed for logistics drones by Enpower and Fengyi Technology achieved phased progress. The product supports regular commercial operation with a 50kg payload and a 100km flight range. The two parties aim to realize mass production of 480 Wh/kg cells within three years and further enhance battery cycle life.
Also in April, Enpower and Joyson Electronics jointly founded Ningbo JunEn New Energy Co., Ltd. to tap into the powerenergy market for embodied intelligence, focusing on R&D, production and sales of solidstate batteries.
Regarding product roadmap, Enpower previously announced that in 2026 it will mainly launch 120 Ah allsolidstate cells targeting nonautomotive markets such as drones and robots. In 2027, it will expand to electric motorcycles and small electric vehicles. Massscale deployment of automotivegrade allsolidstate batteries is targeted for 2030.
