Tesla Slashes Prices of Its Solar Panels by One-Third and Offers Seven-Day Trial Period in a Bid to Turn Around Its Home Solar Business

Tesla is offering what might be the cheapest rooftop PV systems in the US. The company announced on June 19 that it has cut the prices of its solar panels to one-third less than “the average cost of the industry” and intends to undersell its competitors in the foreseeable future. Along with the lowest-price guarantee, Tesla has also introduced a week-long trial period during which dissatisfied customers of its rooftop PV systems can submit a request for product return to receive a full refund with no question asked and the uninstallation cost covered.
