enXco Announces Operation of 205.5 Megawatt Lakefield Wind Project

enXco- an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company announced the Lakefield WindProject, located in Jackson County (southwestern) Minnesota, is fullyoperational and supplying electricity to the regional transmission grid. Theproject will deliver carbon-free electricity into the MISO transmission systemfor the benefit of Indianapolis Power&Light Company (IPL) generationportfolio under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement for 200 megawatts.

The project, developed by enXco, consists of 137 General Electric (GE) 1.5megawatt turbines with the capacity to generate renewable energy for more than68,000 homes. Construction on the Lakefield Wind Project commenced in lateSeptember 2010 after eight years of dedicated development efforts.

"enXco is once again pleased to extend our experience and successfulrelationship with Indianapolis Power&Light Company to deliver the economicand renewable benefits from the Lakefield Wind Project," said Kate O’Hair,midwest regional director for enXco. "Lakefield marks our second wind project todevelop and build with IPL – the 106 MW Hoosier Wind Project in Benton CountyIndiana began delivering electricity in November 2009. We look forward to beinga continued partner with IPL and the communities of Minnesota to further ourefforts to supply clean energy to the nation’s grid."

Lakefield Wind Project further represents enXco’s ninth wind projectdeveloped in Minnesota for a total of 914.5 MW and also the largest wind energyproject to be built in Minnesota since enXco’s Fenton Wind Project. This projectbrings enXco’s gross installed wind energy capacity to 1,141 MW.

The permanent financing of Lakefield Wind Project is structured as aleveraged lease with Union Bank and MetLife.
