Roof integration with aleo modules: On the grid with 1 megawatt installation in French Aveyron

published: 2011-12-13 10:41

aleo solar AG [ISIN: DE000A0JM634] has supplied modules for a 1 megawatt roof-integrated photovoltaic system in Aveyron (France, department 12) - the largest Solrif project by aleo to date. The modules, which are framed with custom aluminium profiles, are ideal for roof-integrated solar installations and replace traditional roofing materials.

An annual production of 1 gigawatt hours is expected, which is highly efficient given that the unit faces full East and full West. It also proves the economic advantage of exposures that are less attractive at first glance. The unit will reduce the CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by 360 tonnes a year. The photovoltaic plant was connected to the grid on 19 October 2011.

Eiffage Energie Quercy Rouergue Gevaudan (QRG), aleo solars' partner, has installed a total of 5,261 aleo S_16 Solrif modules on seven farm buildings with panels working on both sides (full East - full West). QRG has created a turnkey project for its customer who raises calves. It includes the project design, from conception to execution, and QRG will also maintain the installation in the future.

"aleo solar is a partner of substance. We shall be expanding this partnership in the future", declares Guillaume Françoise, Project Manager with Eiffage Energie Quercy Rouergue Gevaudan. Adrien Darragon, Director Sales aleo solar France, states that service quality and premium products contribute to the success of this project: "The quality of our production tool means that we have been able to pace supplies of modules built into the structure for a large-scale project. Our local presence has been decisive in meeting the expectations of our customer Eiffage Energie".
