Chint/Astronergy was selected to provide modules for use in one of North Carolina‘s largest solar PV projects. Kings Mountain joins the growing ranks of North Carolina towns embracing renewable energy with the addition of its newest solar farm.

North Carolina-based Strata Solar and Chint/Astronergy (a multi-national solar panel manufacturer) used a total of 22,000 panels to complete the 5 megawatt solar power plant, which is one of North Carolina‘s largest solar farms. The new power plant will generate enough clean energy to offset the electricity usage of over 600 average homes.

“Kings Mountain Solar is a strong example of how sustainability has transformed into a mainstream, economic force across the state,” said Markus Wilhelm, Chief Executive Officer of Strata Solar. “We are thrilled to work with Chint/Astronergy in fostering environmental responsibility and bringing clean energy and employment growth to North Carolina.”

Now established as a competitive energy resource, solar power continues to attract more investors enabling larger projects to be developed. Strata Solar is well positioned to implement the growing solar demand and has other large solar development projects in their pipeline, with many slated to useChint/Astronergy solar panels.
