Gamesa will Occupy the Vice-Presidency of the European Chamber in China

Juan Ignacio García de Motiloa, Managing Director and Chief Corporate Officer in China, has been elected Vice President of the European Chamber in the country. The Chamber, founded in 2000, is a private institution gathering more than 1.700 European companies established in China, and serves as interlocutor with local government in economic and business matters. Any initiatives from local authorities are submitted to the Chamber for comments and advices. In fact, during the last EU-China annual meeting in Beijing, the Chamber organized a business event presided by the European Commission President, Durao Barroso, and China's First Minister, Wen Jiabao.

The European Chamber has presence in nine cities and is made up of more than 34 workgroups, one of them dedicated to renewable energies, which has been presided by García de Motiloa for the last two years. The elections were held on the European Union embassy in Beijing, with the presence of the Ambassador, the German Markus Ederer.
