Company has already certified over 50 installers for the Solar Power exhibition in Birmingham

Thanks to good irradiation values and guaranteed funding, more and more people in the UK are turning to solar power. Being active in this growing market for more than one year, SolarWorld AG from Germany now opens a subsidiary in the United Kingdom. On the occasion of the Solar Power event in the UK, the solar technology manufacturer announces the opening of its sales office in Salisbury in the south of London.

From Oct. 2 to 4, at the country’s largest trade show in Birmingham, SolarWorld AG will be supporting their distributors and numerous certified installers who were gained during the past year. Since the beginning of this year, over 50 trade companies from all parts of the United Kingdom have successfully completed their training by SolarWorld and were certified. The certified installer programme, which SolarWorld has already established in various markets worldwide, includes training opportunities in addition to support in marketing and planning of solar electric systems.

"Whoever invests into a solar power system wants to be sure that he is spared any nasty surprises on the roof for at least 25 years,” says Dr.-Ing. E. h. Frank Asbeck, Chief Executive Officer of SolarWorld AG. "This is why we, as quality manufacturers, rely on certified installers who competently advise end customers and who can carry out a professional installation.” The frame conditions in the UK are attractive despite cutbacks: The law guarantees the generation of solar power over 20 years for 16p per kilowatt hour as well as an additional fee for power fed into the grid. Currently, solar power systems in the UK achieve returns of about 10 per cent.

This year, British private and commercial customers are especially interested in complete systems from SolarWorld AG, which the company sells for different system sizes. In addition to solar modules Made in Germany or Made in USA, these so-called Sunkits also include frames, cables and the system documentation. The Sundeck system received special attention in 2012 - it can be integrated into the roof and does not require metal profiles that must be mounted onto tiles.
