Google to Invest in a Solar Farm in Mount Signal, California |

It is reported that Google Inc. has invested US$103 million dollars in a solar farm in Mount Signal, California, USA. When being completed, this solar farm will supply clean energy to about 80,000 homes in San Diego.
Until now, Google has invested more than a billion US dollars in renewable energy projects. Google’s recent major investments are all located in California where its headquarter is situated.
In 2011, Google promised to invest 168 million US dollars in BrightSource Energy’s Ivanpah solar power system in Mojave Desert as it was planned to be completed in 2013. According to the constructing company, however, the reflection mirror boards for this project are still in pilot-run phase.
