GCL-Poly to Establish a Subsidiary in Taiwan

Last week, GCL-Poly announced in an inaugural ceremony that it has established GCL Photovoltaic Technology Co. Ltd. in Taiwan, the first of the company as well as the first of Chinese PV manufacturers. This indicates a new milestone of GCL-Poly’s fast growing Taiwanese market.

Over 80 distinguished guests attended the ceremony, including representatives from 15 solar cell manufacturers such as Neo Solar Power, Motech Industries Inc., Shenzhen Lianjin Photoelectricity Co. Ltd., Inventec Solar Energy Corporation, Hefei Crystal Technical Material Co. Ltd., and Wah Lee Industrial Corp. Financial institutions attended the ceremony included Bank of China, Bank of Communications and Cathay United Bank. Executive Secretary of the Taiwan Investment Commission, MOEA also participated in the ceremony and offered his congratulations to GCL-Poly.

The establishment of a Taiwan subsidiary will enable GCL-Poly to further strengthen its services and cooperation with Taiwan-based customers, and bring forth further business opportunities. At the same time, through building business partnership and financing platforms in Taiwan, GCL-Poly will be able to enhance its cooperation with Taiwanese financial institutions, expanding sources and channels for transaction settlements and funding activities, and hence, strengthening the further cooperation between solar upstream and downstream manufacturers across the Taiwan Straits.
