US Department of Commerce May Postpone the Preliminary Ruling for Anti-Dumping Duties

published: 2014-05-20 18:25

Rumor has it that the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) may postpone the preliminary ruling for anti-dumping duties from June 9th to July 24th. Before this, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has already postponed the announcement of preliminary ruling for countervailing duties from March to June 2nd.

EnergyTrend has been told some rumors from insiders that DoC might postpone the announcing date for anti-dumping duties. The conclusion would cause certain influence on Taiwanese cell manufacturers’ orders and shipment. As a result, if the rumor about this postponement were true, Taiwanese cell manufacturers’ production could remain as strong as it was in March and April, indicating a full order and capacity in May and June. Also, price trends of PV cells may increase under this scenario.
